Summary

John is an experimental particle physicist specialising in quark-flavour physics and CP violation. Currently working on CERN experiment NA62 and a member of the Editorial Board, John designed and oversaw the construction of the KTAG detector, taking responsibility for the mechanics, optics, cooling and safety aspects funded by an ERC Advanced Grant.

Until July 2017 John was NA62 Team Leader in Liverpool and previously played senior roles in BaBar and CPLEAR. He won university awards for Excellence in Teaching, as a Bullying and Harassment Adviser, and for his contribution to the Student Experience.
