Calorimeter R&D for future e+e– Colliders
Nigel Watson (Birmingham)
Abstract
The physics of future high energy e+e– colliders place
very stringent demands on many aspects of the detectors. The
calorimeter systems are particularly challenging and it is essential
to approach their design using a more integrated approach than that of
earlier experiments. This seminar describes the work carried out in
this field by CALICE, the largest R&D collaboration which spans all
aspects of calorimetry for ILC and CLIC.
