Title: Lattice approach to the QCD Phase Diagram

Abstract
Prof Hands will review recent results on the QCD phase diagram in the temperature (T) - baryon chemical plane (mu) using Monte Carlo simulations of both Lattice QCD and related effective theories. In particular, he will review recent progress at high T and low mu in the regime relevant for heavy-ion collisions, and attempts to model the low T high mu regime pertinant to the physics of compact stars.
