We would like to thank your students for entering our concept videos/animations competition 2008-9. We very much hope that they enjoyed preparing and making the video presentations – we certainly enjoyed watching them!

All the presenters obviously put a great deal of time and effort into the work. A lot of good Physics was researched and the enthusiasm of the students certainly came across. We are sure every entry will have enhanced their knowledge and skills.

We were again, very impressed with the overall standard and variety of approaches.

From 37 registrations, from schools and colleges all over the UK, we have decided to choose 6 winning teams, who will be invited into the University to enjoy a buffet lunch with members of the Particle Physics Research Group, and to collect their prize cheques for £300.

Those teams who haven’t won a prize should still be proud of their achievements in the competition and we very much hope that they continue to enjoy their physics.
